KNOWN HISTORY: Mushrooms was brought in without information on his behavior in his previous home. He lived in a home with lots of other cats and allowed handling during intake. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – nervous but tolerated exam EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: lying in the back, soft. Reaction when softly spoken to: looks at assessor, soft Reaction to cage door opening: calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: allows petting all over. Reaction to being picked up: allows this type of handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Please note that Mushrooms is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Mushrooms interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
