MUNSHI – A1088010
Safe - 9-8-2016 Brooklyn
SAFE 9/8/16
A volunteer writes: “Oh please, please, come over and give me some Friskies,” Munshi sings, ever so plaintively. She tries and tries and tries to get my attention, and won’t take no for an answer. “Wait a few minutes, Munshi,” I tell her, “I’m trying to feed everyone in order, so I don’t forget anyone.” “Okay, she replies, sitting back down for a minute; but in the blink of a cat’s eye she is up again. “I’ll sing for my supper,” she calls out to me. “I know that,” I reply. But I don’t think that Munshi is really all that hungry. I suspect that she just wants some attention. When I do feed her, she ignores the dish and starts rubbing up against my hand. A change of tune! This spritely little honey bun just wants to be loved.
