08/30/16 11:09 BAsic information Muno is a 1 and a half year old male gray DSH with no known medical conditions. Owenr has had Muno for over year and is surrendering because they moved to a private facility. Socialization Muno has lived with children ages 4 and 1 and was respectful affectionate and relaxed with them. Muno doesn’t really play much but allowed all handling and petting from the children whi8le laying down. Muno hasn’t lived with any other cats or dogs. Around strangers Muno will be shy for a few days. Behavior Previous owner did not try to bathe or trim Munos nails. During car rides Muno is quite. Muno enjoys being brushed and isn’t bothered when being picked up and held. Muno has accidently scratched within the last ten days but didn’t puncture skin. Muno isn’t bothered when disturbed while sleeping but is scared of the carrier and will struggle to get away from it. For the new family to know Muno was described as mellow and independent with a low activity level. Muno enjoys playing with laser pointers and being in his favorite spot in the house onto of the kitchen cupboards. Muno is house trained and uses a hooded litter box with crystal litter. Muno eats mostly food and gets 1 can of fancy feast portioned to 3 times a day. Muno also has a bowl or Friskies dry food left out. Muno has a scratching post made of carpet but will sometimes scratch on the couch when he wants to be fed. Behavior during intake During intake Muno was quiet. Muno came right out of the carrier and laid down but was slightly tense. Muno allowed to be scanned and collared with no problem.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Muno has lived with children from ages 1 to 4 and was affectionate and relaxed with them. He doesn’t really play much but allowed all handling and petting from the children. Around strangers Muno can be shy for a couple days and he’s never lived with any other cats or dogs. His owners describe his as mellow and independent with a low activity level. Muno enjoys chasing laser pointers and relaxing in his favorite spot on top the kitchen cupboards. Reaction to assessor: Muno was resting at the back of the kennel behind his blanket. Reaction when softly spoken to: Muno becomes alert with wide eyes focused on the assessor. He leans back, lip licks and slowly turns his head away. Reaction to cage door opening: Muno remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Muno focuses on the assessor’s hand and hisses as he approached. His body is tense/ stiff when touched and continues to lip lick throughout the interaction. He allows petting all over and slowly warms up to touch when rubbed on his cheeks. Behavior Determination: Experience Muno may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
