***SAFE 08/23/16***MUNE is a handsome 3 year old neutered male. MUNE is brown and white with gorgeous coloring. This friendly guy was brought to the shelter because his owner has allergies. Poor MUNE has been a loyal companion for 2 years and now he’s homeless and on tomorrow’s list to die at the shelter. MUNE lived with children 5 and up and was gentle with them. He was also good with dogs and other cats! He’s described as being RELAXED, PLAYFUL, AFFECTIONATE and MELLOW! MUNE isn’t too happy about being dumped at the shelter. He would be so happy if you save him from this awful fate! MUNE would be great for an experienced pet home, where they could give this sweetie the TLC he deserves!

08/14/16 16:27 BASIC INFORMATION Mune is a neutered, brown tabby with white on his chest DSH cat that is 2 years old. Mune has been her loyal companion since a kitten. The owner is surrendering Mune due to allergies. Mune has no known illness. SOCIALIZATION Mune has lived with children 5 and up. He is relaxed and affectionate. Around the family he is playful and affectionate. He has been introduced 1 male cat once and around the other cat he was relaxed and respectful. Mune has also been introduced to small dogs; he also is relaxed and respectful. BEHAVIOR Mune allows all handling. But he is fearful of baths, having his nails trimmed and going into his carrier. He tries to run and hide. He enjoys having his coat brushed, allows being picked up and held. He isn’t bothered when disturbed from sleep or nap. He has never has a bite or scratch history. He always uses his uncovered litter box. FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW Mune is described as Confident, playful and mellow. He allows being picked up and petted. His favorites are balls with bells, catnip toys and chasing toys. He follows the owner around the house, his likes to look out the window. His always uses his scratching post made out of rough rope. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE During intake Mune allowed being collard, scanned and photographed. He was friendly. He allowed being petted. He walked out of his carrier and walked back in.

As per previous owner, Mune has lived with children. He is relaxed and affectionate. Around the family he is playful and affectionate. He has been introduced a male cat once. Around the other cat he was relaxed and respectful. Mune has also been introduced to small dogs. He was also is relaxed and respectful around them. Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Mune and at the time he had tense body when touched. Mune grumbles from inside the cat den. Mune is tolerates petting briefly. Mune lip licks then becomes fixated on my hand. Reaction to assessor: Mune was inside the cat den When spoken quietly: Mune stayed inside the cat den Reaction to door cage opening: Mune came out and stretched then walked over to the assessor Reaction to touch: Mune allowed petting and attention with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Mune is tolerant of this type of handling and he starts to low growl when attempted Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Mune was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment Mune was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, allows attention and tolerates all petting with a slow approach. Mune does not like to be picked up and will low growl when attempted. Mune is displaying behavior appropriate for a experienced cat owner with no children.
