MUNCH – A1089335
Gone - 9-30-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 09/30/16*** THIS IS REALLY SAD! SO SAD THAT IF YOU DON’T OFFER TO TAKE THIS GUY IN…YOU JUST HAVE NO HEART! MUNCH is a 2-3 year old and already NEUTERED. He’s been with his previous owner since he was a kitten, as the owner found him amongst a litter of kittens in the back yard. But now the owner is sick and can no longer take care of MUNCH. The thing about this is, it’s likely a hospice situation and/or a sickness that the owner just won’t recover from. And it’s also likely that a friend or family member surrendered MUNCH, because if this poor owner knew his would share his fate…it’s doubtful that he would allow it. These two of them were buddies, you can tell just by the notes about the game they played at the sink. For most older people, animals are their only source of companionship. Their kids leave them, their friends die and soon these animals ARE in fact their family. This little guy is naturally fearful of people so he needs an EXPERIENCED new owner. Don’t beat down the door to be first in line to FOSTER OR ADOPT MUNCH… JUST BE THAT ONE TO SAVE HIS LIFE!

09/10/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/10/16 19:57 Basic Information: Munch is a two year old, neutered, brown tabby cat. He lived with his owner since he was a kitten. He had been part of a litter that the owner found in her backyard. The owner is unable to care for him due to health issues. The previous owner mentioned that he has no present health probelms or injuries but has not been to the vet since he was a kitten. Socialization: Munch remains fearful around people that he does not know. When the doorbell rings he immediately runs away and goes into hiding. He is most comfortable approaching animals or humans he already knows. For example he had shared his home with another cat and had been friendly, and dominant in his interactions with her. He had also spent some time around a dog and had been relaxed in his presence. Behavior: Munch is a very vocal cat when he is in a familiar place. During his intake he not been vocal at all. The owner emphasized that his initial reaction to unfamiliar people and stimuli is to hide in fear, but assured us that he needs time to adjust. He uses his litterbox exclusively, unless it is dirty at which point he will utilize the area directly outside of the litter box. For a New Family to Know: Munch has many personality quirks one of them being his love of water. His favorite activity was sitting by the sink while his owner would pour water out of pitcher, whereby he would then swat at the water. This was a game they engaged in almost every night together. Similarly he is often found seated by the sink watching the water drops fall, and at times will even position himself by the water so that it can fall on his back. When he is not playing with the water Munch can be found sitting on the windowsill, watching the world go by. Another personality quirk that served as the inspiration behind his name is his love of food. He had been given a diet of Purina Naturals with the occasional Temptations treats.
