***SAFE 12/08/17*** HANDSOME MUGMAN IS HOPING TO HAVE A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS – BUT HE ONLY HAS TIL TOMORROW TO FIND ONE!! A volunteer writes: Funny Mr. Mugman was sending me mixed messages the other day. This hearty boy was waiting for me excitedly at the front of his cat condo, dancing around and letting out the occasional croaky meow in anticipation. But when I went over to meet him and spent time stroking his gorgeous snowy fur, he’d sometimes back away shyly. Mugman isn’t telling me his backstory, but I get the feeling this he was a well cared for pet who is very comfortable with people-yet communal life in the cat adoption room is throwing him off his game. Care Center behavior staffers seemed to agree, noting that Mugman is curious, laid-back, and was fine with petting, but he may need some time to warm up. Like most cats, Mugman wants you to earn his love, and he’ll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty in return. MUGMAN is about 8 yrs old and has a heart murmur which may need a follow up check. ADOPT THIS OLDER GENT TONIGHT – MUST BE RESERVED BY NOON!!
Manhattan Center
Hello, my name is Mugman. My animal id is #14399. I am a male white cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 8 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 22-Nov-2017.
Original Location: 10019
Mugman is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with Upper Respiratory Infection, which is contagious to other cats. Behaviorally, we believe that Mugman would be best suited to an adult only cat experienced home.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
