MUFFY – A1079875
Gone - 7-9-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 07/09/16*** MARVELOUS MUFFY IS PREGNANT AND HEALTHY – BUT BECAUSE SHE IS A BIT UNSETTLED IN THE SHELTER THEY WILL KILL HER AND HER UNBORN KITTENS TONIGHT!! MUFFY was brought into the shelter as a stray. At first, in typical ACC fashion they looked at her distended abdomen and couldn’t figure out if she really was pregnant. Well then they did and because MUFFY isn’t jumping through hoops for people poking and prodding at her, she was slapped with an EXPNOCHILD rating and sent packing to tonight’s list. MUFFY only needs a patient foster to help her adjust – she may have been someone’s pet who got tossed to the street. We don’t know. But what we do know is if MUFFY doesn’t find a HERO tonight to come to her aid, at NOON she will be wheeled down the hall to the euth room. IS THERE A FOSTER IN THE HOUSE? AND ADOPTER? PLEASE EMAIL THE HELP DESK NOW FOR RESCUE CONTACT INFO!!! MUFFY NEEDS YOU NOW!

07/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Muffy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Muffy has wide eyes and was pressed up against the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Muffy’s ears rotate and becomes alert but she doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Muffy flinches and looks around at her surroundings. Reaction to touch: Muffy shifts away from contact and has a tense body when pet. Her eyes widen, starts lip licking then hisses at the assessor. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Muffy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
