SAFE 6/3/17 MR PEPPER has some ear issues which had previously been treated by a vet but have not improved. He also has a URI. He has a head tilt and is 4 weeks old – friendly purring kitten who leans into petting! Foster home needed!

Medical Summary 06/01/17 13:18 Friendly, allows all handling Clear OU, moderate dark brown thick discharge AU, bilateral mucoid nasal discharge after sneezed OP clean deciduous dentition PLN wnl H/L reg, no obvious murmur, ssp, lungs clear/eupenic, sneezed x 2, no coughing ABD snp MSK amb x 4 Integ slightly unkempt, no ectoparasites noted BCS 4/9 UG m/i, s/s testes, both down Neuro alert and appropriate, right sided head tilt but otherwise neuro exam wnl A:Right-sided head tilt-r/o secondary to ear mites & otitis externa vs. other neuro URI-sneezing, nasal discharge P:Ivermectin 0.015 mL SQ given Cleaned ears Start doxycycline suspension 0.15 mL PO SID x 10 days Recheck day 5 and 10 Great prognosis for URI Fair prognosis for head tilt-will see how responds to tx for otitis externa and ear mites
