He was soliciting attention and rolling over but for some reason this boy is NOT on the public list. YOU MUST RESERVE HIM THROUGH A NEW HOPE RESCUE. Please hurry as a wonderful cat like this should be given a good home and not put down!

06/22/17 14:47 Finder was able to open a carrier and get Mosquito in the carrier without having to touch the animal. Behavior during intake: Mosquito was at the back of the carrier growling. Counselor was able to transfer to a different carrier with a little bit of struggle. Once in the other carrier, Mosquito was hissing and growling. No handling was done by the counselor due to animals behavior. -Irene M

Upon intake, Mosquito did not allow handling. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: growling, hissing EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Mosquito is standing at the front of the cage, meows. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mosquito rolls over, soft and relaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Mosquito remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Mosquito head-butts the assessor, appreciates petting all over body. Reaction to being picked up: Mosquito is tolerant of this type of handling, but tense.
