06/03/17 16:36 Basic Information: Moscato is a 4yr old spayed Domestic Shorthair who was a gift from a friend and was kept in the same home for all of her 4 years of life. Sadly she started to have a few litter box accident and the previous owner could not keep her anymore. She was last brought to the vet a year ago. Socialization: Moscato is known to be shy for a few days but overall friendly, relaxed, affectionate, respectful and playful with both strangers and children of all ages. She isn’t known to play much but when she does it’s very gentle. She has been socialized with dogs and cats and she is respectful and relaxed with them as well and plays very gentle. Behavior: Moscato will meow occasionally, likes to scratch the rug, enjoys going on car rides and will have a litter box accident quite a few times a week. She has been using the bathroom outside of the litter box for about 1-3 years and when she was taken to the vet for it they stated that it was a form of acting out and that she was perfectly healthy. She enjoys baths, getting her hair brushed and being picked up and held. She struggles to get her nails clipped and being put in the carrier and isn’t bothered when someone disturbs her sleep. For a New Family to Know: Moscato is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, very mellow, confident, somewhat shy, independent, and quiet but talkative when she’s hungry. She has a low activity level, will meow just to have a conversation with you, loves to be cuddled, loves to play with catnip toys, string and balls and enjoys being in the same room as you. She has been kept indoors only, can sleep anywhere and eats Iams dry food and friskies wet food 2x a day. She likes the hooded litter box with clay litter but will occasionally have a litter box accident and likes the scratching post made out of rope or cardboard. During intake she allowed all handling, being collard, having her picture taken and being placed in a crate.
