ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Bold, Skittish ENRICHMENT NOTES: 6/27/17- Curled up at back with siblings. Became alert when door opened, started hissing frantically. Panicked and fled around cage to avoid touch. 6/28/17- Dozing in litter box, woke and became alert when door opened. Started hissing at offered assess-a-hand. Hissed, spit, and swatted assess-a-hand when pet. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Mork looks tense, tuck limbs at the back during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Mork stiffens up, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Mork hisses, spits, and swats at the assessor’s hand, but when touched she turns her head away with no interest to the stroke. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Mork may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
