05/27/17 12:44 Mookie is an orange tabby neutered cat. His owner got him from a neighbor around 16 years ago at the age of 2 months. He surrendered Mookie due to moving to a new apartment that does not allow animals. Owner reports no known injuries or health problems. Around strangers,Mookie will come and greet them at the doors and illicit attention and food. He has lived with teenagers, ages 12, 13, and 17, and was relaxed and playful around them all. He tends to play with stuffed mice and wands. He has lived with another 16 year old cat and he was respectful and friendly with her; owner reports they have never had altercations. Mookie has also lived with a shih tzu, ages 8, and would swat at him, no injuries reported, to “keep him in check”. The dog would try to play with Mookie, which he did not like.He has not bitten another animal or person. Owner reports that Mookie loves to scratch and has scratched up the couches and boxes if his scracthing post is unuseable. Mookie was very quiet during the car ride. Mookie loves to take baths. The owner has never tried to trim hisr nails but he loves having his fur brushed out. He also struggled while being placed in a carrier. Mookie is an independent, very active, and friendly cat. He loves to observe the world outside the window on a cat tree placed near the window. He was kept indoors only. He is use to eating dry food, morning and night, and the owner states that if someone would forget to feed them, he would remind them by yowling and stomping his paws. He loves soft treats. Hhe is use to using a hooded litterbox with all sorts of litter, inlcuding pellets and clay. He was provided with a cat tree made of carpet that he used daily.
