ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Sweet MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 7/13/17- Observed Behavior – allows full exam , calm ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/13/17 Curled up behind litter box, eyes dilated. Minor lip licking when door opened. Sniffed hand, then began to lean into pets with increasing enthusiasm, and cheek-rubbing cage furnishings. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Mona remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Mona remains soft body, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Mona head bunts the assessor’s hand, kneads in place, purrs, and appreciates the petting. Reaction to being picked up: She briefly allows the pickup then jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Mona interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
