Hello, my name is Momma. My animal id is #10918. I am a female white cat at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 14 years old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 27-Oct-2017.
10/30/17 3:45pm Momma is at risk due to being diagnosed with large abdominal mass. Momma remains calm in the care center and appreciates petting and attention. She will do well in a home with cat parents who have an Average amount of cat experience.

Progress exam/bloodwork/AXR History : stray intake 10/27-possible cranial abdominal mass, geriatric. Subjective: QAR. Possibly ate a little canned food but no dry. Normal u but no bm in box. No csvd. Objective EENT: Eyes clear with nuclear sclerosis ou, no nasal discharge noted H/L: No c/s, eupneic ABD: SNP, large multilobulated mass in cranial abdomen Assessment: Abdominal mass Nuclear slcerosis ou Geriatric Cachexia Elevated GGT Hyperglobulinemia Hypercalcemia Anemia Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC 2 view AXR-large soft tissue mass effect in cranial abdomen just caudal to the stomach, decreased serosal detail in area of the mass CBC-mild neutrophilia 10.5 (1.48-10.29), anemia 27.1 (30.3-52.3), thrombocytopenia 4 (151-600) r/o clumping Chem-elevated GGT 12 (0-4), hyperglobulinemia 6.1 (2.8-5.1), hypercalcemia 14.9 (7.8-11.3) T4-wnl 1.7 Rec AUS with histopath of mass Prognosis: Poor to guarded

During intake Momma was friendly and outgoing. She allowed the counselor to pick her up, pet her. collar and take her picture with no problems.

Basic Information:: Momma is a 14 year old spayed white and brown tabby cat who was brought to the ACC as a stray due to the fact her owner had recently passed away.
If yes, Please elaborate:: Finder stated that Momma is trained to use the bathroom in the tub. If she is provided a litter box she will use it.

How is this cat around strangers?: When around strangers Momma is shy for a few minutes but warms up. When playing with adults she is gentle. Since Momma has gotten older she does not care to play.
How is this cat around children?: Momma has spent time around children and she is respectful. Momma does not care to play with children.
How is this cat around other cats?: Momma has not spent time around other cats in the home so it is unknown how she will react.
How is this cat around dogs?: Momma has not spent time around dogs in the home so it is unknown how she will react.
Behavior Notes: Finder stated that overall Momma behaves well. On the way to the ACC in the car she was quiet. She has never been bathed nor had her nails trimmed so it is unknown how she will react. She isnt bothered if she is brushed, put in a carrier or held.
Bite history:: Momma has never bitten a person or another animal.

For a New Family to Know: Finder described Momma as friendly affectionate and shy. When at home she likes to be in her favorite spot. She has been kept mostly inddors and eats both wet and dry food. Momma has a scratching post made out of carpet but she prefers to scratch on wood items like the door frame.

Reaction to touch:: Momma sniffs the assessor’s hand and accepts petting. She gets up after and head-butts lightly, leans in for more rubs, and begins to purr.
Reaction to being picked up:: Momma remains calm and allows handling.
