06/24/17 16:45 BASIC INFORMATION: Moe is a black/white DSH, 6yr old spayed cat. She was found as a stray and has no known health issues. Moe has been surrendered to ACC due to family members developing severe allergies towards Moe. SOCIALIZATION: Moe is unbothered by strangers and is tolerant when strangers pet her. She has resided with children and gets along well with them. She plays gently with them adults and children. Moe has resided with dogs; she is respectful towards the dogs but usually keeps to herself. Moe has not been exposed to other cats. Moe has not bitten or scratched another animal or person within the past 10 days. BEHAVIOR: Moe is tolerant of brushing her coat; owner has not bathed her or trimmed her nails. She allows the owner to place her into the carrier with ease. When Moe is asleep and is disturbed she is unbothered by it. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Moe is best described as an affectionate, friendly and independent cat. She has a medium activity level. Moe enjoys playing with stuffed mice toys and balls. When owner is home, Moe follows owner around the house. Moe would do best in a family or single person home. She has been kept indoors only. She enjoys sleeping near owner. Moe eats wet and dry food from brand Purina/ Fancy Feast. Moe is litter box trained. She uses an uncovered and hooded litter box and uses clumping or clay litter. BEHAVIOR UPON INTAKE: Moe appeared to be relaxed in the carrier. Once Moe was taken out of carrier and became curious of the environment. She allowed all handling & scanned negative.

Curious, exploring environment. Uses paw to push away vet’s hand when looking at mouth. Begins growling on abdominal palpation and continues throughout the exam, but does not escalate beyond that even during blood draw and NT. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 06/25/17 Lying in back of kennel with a relaxed body. She allows petting along her head and body while remaining relaxed and making eye contact with soft eyes. Doing well after first day! Sprayed feliway. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Moe was relaxed and rolling around playfully near the front of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Moe rubs up against the cage door and reaches out with paws towards the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Moe is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Moe brushes up against the assessor and allows petting all over. She nuzzles up for attention, is very playful and has a ton of energy. She can get a little excited when playing and nips with slight pressure. Reaction to being picked up: Moe is calm, relaxed and has a soft body when held. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Athletic VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Playful, Affectionate, People Oriented BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Moe interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
