Mittens was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home.

Super cute chubby girl, really sweet and appreciates attention. In medical for some wound treatment. Cheerful, enjoys catnip and Temptations treats. Gave some tuna, too, and a feather toy.
Cute. Good appetite. Gave some head rubs and fresh wet food and some treats. Moving around well, bright, alert. Sweet young girl.
Cage Condition: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor: Mittens was relaxed and lying down on her perch.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Mittens chirps then jumps down and rubs her body up against the kennel door.
Reaction to cage door opening: Mittens is calm and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Mittens is social, friendly and allows petting all over her body. She purrs softly, leans in for attention and is incredibly affectionate.
Reaction to being picked up: Mittens is calm, relaxed and leans in for rubs.

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: Mild to moderate dental tartar/gingivitis, missing upper right canine, chipped upper right canine, no oral ulcers seen
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, ~3-4cm irregularly shaped superficial, healing wound at dorsal thoracic region; ~1.5cm rounds healing wound/ulcer at left side of perianal/vulvar region
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: two wounds vs skin lesions, different healing stages – R/O trauma vs allergy vs parasite vs other
Plan: Rec convenia 0.4ml SQ once. Rec nolvasan and ssd q24 x 3 days. Continue to monitor while at BACC
