07/29/16 12:37 Basic information: Mittens is a 6 year old neutered male. He was given to his previous owner as a gift when he was a kitten. He was surrendered because his previous owner was evicted. The last time he went to the vet was 2 years ago. He has no known injuries or health problems. Socialization: Around strangers Mittens is friendly and outgoing and exuberant when he plays with adults. He lived with a male cat and was relaxed and affectionate and gentle at play. He lived with a chow chow mix and with him he was relaxed and affectionate. Behavior: Mittens has never bitten a person or animal an in car rides he cries. He tolerates baths. He enjoys having his coat brushed and being picked up. He struggles if he is placed in a carrier. He isn’t bothered if he is disturbed while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Mittens is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, and confident with a medium activity level. The two things his previous owner liked most about him were; he’s curious and laid back. When his previous owner was home he would tend to follow him around. He liked to play with balls and stuffed toys. He was kept indoors only and at night he slept on the couch. He ate dry Iams and Ally cat. He is litter box trained and also used the toilet. He used an uncovered litter box and clumping litter. He used a scratching post made of carpet and smooth wood. Behavior during intake: Mittens allowed me to pet him, collar him, and take his picture. He was head-butting and showed no signs of aggression.
