MITT is the epitome of an easy going, laid back cat. NO TIME??? MITT was described as friendly, affectionate, and independent – and was given to the owner as a give 8 months ago. This super gingersnap kitty rocked an AVERAGE rating and was easy to handle and enjoyed all attention and petting. What’s not to like?? MITT could use to lose a few pounds but he can’t do that if the ACC has it’s way at 12 noon Friday. MITT NEEDS A DEATH ROW PARDON NOW! 05/01/16 10:07 BASIC INFO Mitt A1072099 is an approxiamtely 8-9 year old domestic shorthair cat. he is being surrendered to the shelter because the owner does not have time for him. Mitt was a gift to the owner 8 months ago. SOCIALIZATION Mitt is friendly around strangers. He has not lived with any children. Mitt has never lived with another cat. Mitt has never bitten or scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Mitt does not have any behavior issues. He allows you to carry him and place him in a carrier. Mitt is not bothered if disturbed out of his sleep. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Mitt is best described as friendly, affectionate and independent. When home, he follows you around. He does not have any cat toys. He slept on a little cat bed. He used a regular litter box with Arm and Hammer clumping litter. He uses the mattress to scratch on. He has been kept mostly indoors. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Mitt allowed all handling, collaring and photos.

Reaction to assessor: Mitt looks neutral in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Mitt remains lying down on his cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Mitt stands with tail up, head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Mitt interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
