04/02/17 12:23 Basic Info: Missy (fka Hissy) A1107654 is a 10yr old spayed calico DSH feline who was given to the owner from the previous owner 9yrs ago & is being surrendered due to no time & allergies. Missy hasn’t been seen by a veterinarian for several years and currently has no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Around strangers Missy is shy for several minutes (but give her treats & she’ll be your friend). She’s spent time with children ages 8yrs- ^ & was gentle, relaxed & affectionate (at times) with them, a medium sized dog and the adults. Missy hasn’t been around other cats nor has she bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: During car rides Missy will meow. She isn’t bothered by the following: having her nails trimmed, being picked up/held, being brushed/bathed or with being placed into a carrier. Missy hasn’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Missy is described as friendly, affectionate, confident & quiet with a low-medium activity level. When the owner is home Missy follows them around sometimes. She enjoys ball & mouse toys at times and is an indoor only cat that sleeps around the home. Missy eats dry Purina cat chow 1-3x a day; loves her Friskies Party Mix mixed grill treats, is uncovered litter box trained with crystal or clumping litter within & has a scratching pad as a scratching post that she uses. Intake Behavior: Missy had a tense body, was vocalizing, growling/hissing & swatting from the beginning. I wasn’t able to scan, collar or take her picture on the backdrop. I placed Missy’s carrier into the kennel where she stayed inside growling whenever someone would approach.

Reaction to cage door opening: Missy low growls in place. Reaction to touch: Missy does not allow the touch than began to hiss and swat at the assessor’s hand.
