08/23/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Missy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Missy was curious with wide eyes focused on the assessor at the front of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Missy lightly head butts the door with her tail raised. Reaction to cage door opening: Missy is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Missy rubs up against the assessor and appreciates attention. She allows petting on her head, lightly head butts but gets irritated when touched along her back. He body became tense and she whipped around quickly, hissing and attempting to swat the assessor. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Missy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
