09/09/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Miso was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Miso was curled up in his litter box at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Miso lip licks and arches his back when the assessor softly called his name. Reaction to cage door opening: Miso continues to lip lick and looks around at his surroundings. Reaction to touch: Miso’s ears bend flat with his body lowered and he seems unsure of contact when the assessor extends his hand out. He sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows petting with a slow approach. His body is a bit tense and he slowly builds confidence when touched along his body. After a few soft passes he lightly head butts the assessor and appreciates attention. Behavior Determination: Experience Miso may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
