KNOWN HISTORY: Mishu was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on her behavior in her previous home. She was soliciting attention and was meowing constantly during intake. She was very curious and began sniffing around once taken out of her carrier, and allowed all handling to be conducted. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Friendly allowed all handling, did not like getting injection; just moved a lot but did not growl or hiss. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Mishu approaches the front and meows while climbing on the cage door. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mishu looks at the assessor and sniffs around. Reaction to cage door opening: Mishu remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Mishu sniffs the assessor’s hand and head-butts gently. She accepts petting, begins to purr, and starts to march in place, kneading with both front paws. Reaction to being picked up: Mishu remains soft and continues to purr when held. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Affectionate BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Mishu interacts with the observer, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
