Medical Summary 11/03/16 Check kitten hit by car. Microchip scan neg. O: QARH. mm=lt pink, moist, CRT=2 s. Allows all handling. ORAL: All decid teeth erupted. EENT: No oculonasal discharge. H/L: Lungs clear, no dyspnea. No murmurs. ABD/UG: Male. Abd palpation WNL. MS: Amb x 3, non-weight bearing left hind but able to move the leg. No palpable limb fractures. Very thin body condition. INTEG: Rough, dry haircoat. Decreased skin turgor. Flea dirt. A: No limb fractures but need to rule out pelvic fx. Underweight, dehydration 7-10%. Age est 8 weeks. P: Lat/VD radiographs pelvis: Left iliac fracture, right sacroiliac luxation. Good prognosis with appropriate management. Should do well with cage rest and supportive care. Offered kitten food – started eating immediately. Give Buprenorphine SR 0.03 ml SQ q 72 hours. LRS 20 ml SQ BID x 3 days (discontinue sooner if eating/drinking well). Rec. placement.
