***SAFE 09/24/16***IS MILO CUTE OR WHAT?? JUST ANOTHER CLEAN AND HEALTHY CAT STUFFED IN A TINY CAGE AND WAITING TO DIE IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS! AND to make matters worse, this HORRIBLE previous owner is claimed to DUMP him because she has “no time!” She’s also blaming his “spraying” problem on stress… Hmmm..could be. Could be a UTI. But the NUMBER 1 reason is because he is NOT NEUTERED! And if this owner was too stupid to know, then bring him to a vet! But no…that was too HARD! It was easier just to DUMP him off at a place that will kill him by noon tomorrow! He’s 1 years old and AVERAGE RATED! PLEASE, show you have more brains in your head than MILO’S ex- owner and offer to FOSTER OR ADOPT him!

He has spent some time with children and is respectful of them, engaging in gentle play. He has a medium activity level and likes to play, chasing toys. Reaction when softly spoken to: Milo looks at the assessor and sniffs around. Reaction to cage door opening: Milo lowers his body, alert of cage door opening. Reaction to touch: Milo was hesitant, but head-butts lightly and arches his back when touched along his back. He leans in, rolls over, and nudges the assessor’s hand for more petting. Reaction to pick up: Milo is a bit tense, but allows handling and remains calm when held. Milo’s previous owner reports he has been spraying outside his litter box for the past few weeks. He has not been to a vet for this issue and there could be multiple reasons to why he may be displaying this behavior. It is our understanding that spraying of objects is usually a sign of stress, and often associated with a change in the household. The owner reports she no longer has time to care for him and recently started attending school, as well as having a full-time job. We have noticed him to use his litter box during her stay in the care center, but we advise any potential adopter to be prepared for this behavior, and prepared manage it if it appears in a future home. Methods of managing and attempting to modify this behavior can be discussed with the Adoption Counselors. Placement Determination: Average Milo interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
