Hello, my name is Milo. My animal id is #16112. I am a female gray tabby cat at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 1 years old. – P
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 14-Dec-2017, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- landlord won’t allow.
Original Location: 11224
Milo is at risk due to being diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection and will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. This is a contagious illness to other cats. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents

KNOWN HISTORY:: Lived Indoors Previously lived with: 2 adults Behavior toward strangers: Unknown Behavior toward children: Unknown Behavior toward cats: Tolerant with the two cats she lived with, usually keeps to herself Behavior toward dogs: Hid from a medium sized dog Bite or Scratch history: None Litter box training: Yes, used an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Energy level/descriptors: Milo is described as a loving, independent, and energetic cat. Other notes: She loves to jump and run around.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed behavior – Docile
Cage Condition:: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor:: Milo had a low body posture in her litter box.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Milo looks at the assessor with soft eyes and shows interest, but stays in place and lip licks.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Milo remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch:: Milo sniffs the assessor’s hand and accepts petting, leaning in for cheek rubs. She begins to purr, rubs her head against the assessor’s hand, and warms up. She slowly approaches the front and rolls around, displays her belly, and is very sweet.
Reaction to being picked up:: Milo remains calm and leans in for more cheek rubs.
