History : Stray, surrenderer reported kittens were born today
Subjective:
Observed Behavior – QARH. Allowed all handling and allowed handling of kittens, when being examined tried to get back to kittens
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no
Objective
P = WNL R = WNL BCS 5/9
EENT: Corneal defect dorsally with small amount of edema surrounding, conjunctivitis OS, OD WNL, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: Minimal dental wear
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Female
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: Lactating, nursing kittens (6), corneal ulcer
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC. Rec erythromycin OS for corneal ulcer
Prognosis: Good
SURGERY:
Temporary waiver due to nursing kittens

MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: Neonate with queen
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
Prognosis: Good
