Subjective: Tetraplegic intact male cat Observed Behavior – Hissing, cannot move or walk Evidence of Cruelty seen – None Evidence of Trauma seen – None Objective T = 97.7 F P =160 bpm R = 20bpm CRT< 2 sec MM pink BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: mild dental tartar PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: intact male MSI: paraplegic., skin free of parasites, no masses noted, dirty hair. CNS: mentation appropriate – loosss of pain in the hind limbs. Rectal: anal tone present Radiographs- NSF FIV/FELV test- positive for FIV and negative for FELV. Assessment paraplegic hypothermic Plan 0.3 ml convenia sq Should monitor temperature Shoul perform bloodwork with electrolytes. Prognosis: guarded permanently waived for surgery
