***SAFE 11/11/17***KIND & GENTLE YOUNG MUM NEEDS YOU! MILI is a one year old, timid young girl who was brought in as a stray with her two kittens. We don’ t know the whereabouts of her babies. She desperately needs a rescue angel to offer either a temporary or purrmanent place for her to chill and learn to trust people. Can you be the kind purrson to offer this great girl some TLC? Hello, my name is Mili. My animal id is #11828. I am a female brown tabby cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 1 years old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 05-Nov-2017.
Mili is at risk due to behavior. Mili is a more independent cat that would benefit from an Adult Only environment. At this time Mili has had some diarrhea.

[DVM Intake] DVM Intake Exam Estimated age:1 y Microchip noted on Intake? n History : stray Subjective:profuse diarrhea–parvo test neg Observed Behavior -tries to flee, exam in net Evidence of Cruelty seen -n Evidence of Trauma seen -n Objective T = P =220 R =wnl BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: clean teeth PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: intact female MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment-diarrhea Prognosis:good Plan:pancur 2ml sid x 5 d SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to diarrhea

Bite history:: Mili did not attempt to bite her finder when handled

KNOWN HISTORY:: Mili was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior -tries to flee, exam in net
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 11/6/17 In den on approach, growling. Peeked out through holes when spoken to, eyes dilated. Moved out of reach when attempted touch, could not coax out of den. Sprayed thunderease. 11/7/17 Just returned from medical exam. In den, nose poking out from den window. Lay in place when door opened, but withdrew fully into den. Held immobile when touched. Sprayed thunderease.
Cage Condition:: No change
Reaction to assessor:: Mili remains tense, hiding in the cat den during the approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Mili becomes alert with eyes wide open.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Mili stiffens up in place, ears erect and forward.
Reaction to touch:: Mili is very uncomfortable with the interaction and slowly began to increase distance.

VOCAL:: Quiet
