10/16/16 17:13 BASIC INFO Mile A1093703 is a dsh cat. Miles’s was a gift to the owner from a friend. The present owner cannot keep, because they have an allergic child to the cat in the home. Mile is best described as friendly affectionate and playful. He eats any brand wet or dry food. He uses a regular litter box. Mile’s scratches on furniture in the home, he did not have a scratching post. Mile’s allows you to pick him up and carry him. He has a high activity level. Mile’s lived with another cat in the home and he was friendly towards the other cat. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Mile’s allowed all handling, collaring and photos.

A volunteer writes: Mile is a very out going cat. He is very curious about his surroundings! When you pass by his kennel, he comes right up to you asking for attention! Then he jumps into your arms and just loves it! He has black on his face, looking like a black mask! He has a cute, pink nose. He likes his whole body rubbed! He hasn’t met a feather toy or treat he didn’t like. So, if you are looking for the best greeter in the house, and if you love affection, come to the Manhattan Animal Care Center, and take this sweetheart home!

Mile’s previous owner reports he is a friendly, affectionate, and playful cat. He uses his litter box regularly and tends to scratch on furniture (the owner did not provide him with a scratching post). He allows people to pick him up and carry him, and was reported to have a high activity level. He has lived with another cat and was reported to be friendly towards this cat. Reaction to assessor: Mile was lying on his back by the front, upside-down. He very vocal and meows repeatedly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mile sits up and continues to meow. Reaction to cage door opening: Mile greets the assessor by the opening and meows a little softer. Reaction to touch: Mile stops meowing and leans in for petting. He looks around his surroundings and seems like he wants to explore, but he stays in place and purrs while being pet. Reaction to being picked up: Mile remains soft and continues to purr when held. Behavior Determination: Beginner Mile interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
