I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 07/02/2017 from NY 11238, owner surrender reason stated was LLORDPRIVA. I came in with Group/Litter #K17-102919.

07/02/17 19:01 Midnight is a 10 year old neutered black cat who was surrendered by his owner due to the fact she is moving and can no longer have pets in her new place. the owner stated that she has had the cat since he was 8 weeks old and she bought him from a pet store. Midnight has known medical issues. Owner stated that when around strangers Midnight is friendly and outgoing. Midnight has spent time around children and he is respectful. When playing with adults Midnight is gentle. Midnight does not play with children. Midnight has never spent time around other cats so it is unknown how he will react. He has spent time around a small dog and he is relaxed and affectionate. Midnight will scratch the furniture in the home. On the way here in the car Midnight was meowing and crying. When being bathed Midnight is scared. He has never had his nails trimmed so it is unknown how he will react. Midnight does not like to be brushed and will struggle to get away. Midnight isnt bithered if he is held put in a carrier vor disturbed while he sleeps. Owner described Midnight as friendly affectionate and mellow with a medium activity level. Midnight likes to be in his favorite spot. he likes to play with balls and string. Midnight has been kept indoors only and eats wet food. Midnight is very much house broken and never has accidents. He is used to an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. He has a scatching post in the home made out of carpet but will still scratch the furniture.

Bite or Scratch history: None Litter box training: Yes Energy level/descriptors: Friendly affectionate and mellow with a medium activity level. Other notes: He isn’t bothered being put in a carrier. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Docile and friendly EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Midnight was purring, rolling around and kneading in the air. Reaction when softly spoken to: Midnight meows softly then reaches out with soft paws towards the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Midnight is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Midnight rolls around and nudges the assessor’s hand for attention. He purrs loudly, head butts and enjoys being pet all over his body. Reaction to being picked up: Midnight was a bit tense when picked up due to his size, but remained calm and allows all handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Affectionate, Social BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Midnight interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
