*** GONE 02/02/16 *** TWO STRAY KITTIES TRAPPED AND BROUGHT INTO THE SHELTER TO DIE NEED YOUR HELP TONIGHT!! MIDDY AND JACK are 2 kities who found themselves trapped and now awaiting their doom in the ACC. MIDDY is PERFECTLY healthy, however, he is terrified being locked in a cage in the shelter and of course is not allowing petting or handling. The crime – punishable by New Hope rating has put him on tonight’s list. JACK on the other hand, has the kitty cold now but did allow brief petting on the head for which he was given an EXPNOCHILD rating. Not much help their either as both of these boys will not be killed at noon unless someone with patience and compassion steps up and gives them a chance. If you can foster or adopt, these two boys will be most grateful and with patience, they will come around once they feel safe again. DON’T LET MIDDY AND JACK BECOME THE ACC’S LATEST STATISTICS – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE THEIR LIVES TONIGHT!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Middy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Middy was curled up in the back of the kennel. He lick lips and his tail is flickering. Reaction when softly spoken to: Middy makes eye contact but doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Middy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Middy slow blinks and continues to lick lips as you approach. He leans back quickly with his ears bent flat and swats if close. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Middy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat, is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
