EENT: Eyes clear, mild brown flaky debris AU, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: Mild dental tartar/gingivitis, missing right upper canine
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Spayed
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, sparse hair coat at ventral abdomen and hocks, severe dermatitis, scabbing, erythema of ears, alopecia at bridge of nose, no obvious ulcer at rostral upper lip but may see beginning signs of ulcer at right side; no other lesions noted
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Negative microscopic exam for ear mites
Assessment: Severe dermatitis with scabbing/crusting at ears, alopecia on nose – R/O self inflicted vs autoimmune disease vs other; overgrooming
Plan: Convenia 0.38ml SQ given by LVT. Continue to monitor while at BACC. Consider course of steroids for better resolution
Prognosis: Good
