10/31/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/31/16 13:44 Miasma is a two year old domestic shorthair tabby. He was given to his previous owner as a kitten by her neighbor, and was surrendered because his previous owner had too many cats in her apartment. Miasma was reported to be friendly around strangers. During intake, Miasma sniffed counselor’s hand through his carrier. When his carrier was opened, he ran out of it and attempted to hide in the corner. Counselor caught him in a blanket. Inside the blanket he allowed for petting, and purred when touched on the head. He then sat still on the table for pictures and allowed to be picked up and put into a carrier. Miasma has never lived with children. He lived with many other cats. He was reported to be friendly with them, but mostly stayed to himself. He also lived with two small dogs, that he ignored. Miasma is litter box trained and has never had an accident. He will scratch furniture, but has never had a scratching post. Miasma will allow to be picked up and held, and struggles when being put inside a carrier. Miasma’s previous owner never attempted to bathe, brush, or trim his nails. Miasma was reported to have a high activity level. He liked to follow his previous owner around the house. He has been indoors only, and is used to eating dry food. Miasma used a top loading litter box with clumping litter. He has never been introduced to a scratching post.
