02/15/17 20:22 Basic information: Mesa was brought in as a stray. The finder found Mesa in the street, the finder placed Mesa in a cat carrier and brought Mesa to the shelter. No other information could be provided during intake. Intake Behavior: During intake Mesa had tense, stiff body. Mesa would growl at the handler. Mesa allow himself to be scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and placed in a cat kennel.

EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Mesa looks calmly at the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mesa continues to look calmly at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Mesa remains calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Mesa leans into the stroke and closes his eyes. Reaction to being picked up: Mesa allows the pick-up and remains calm. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 2/16/17: Resting on bedding at the back. Meowed when door opened. Allowed and slightly leaned into pets, not very responsive.
