Merrill is a 3 year old gray domestic medium hair cat who arrived as a stray surrender. Upon intake Merrill was receptive to introduction. Merrill was attempting to flee handling but was not insistant on this and counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) collar and photograph. Merrill was easily replaced to the carrier.

P: REC E-COLLAR, FULL WORK UP WITH PLACEMENT. CONTINUE TO MONITOR WHILE AT BACC

EENT – large amount of dark brown debris AS, pinna is scarred down from old hematoma
Grade 1/4 dental dz, approx 1cm lingual mass (left side)
Superficial wounds on both hocks
Heart/lungs wnl
Abdomen wnl
Coat matted
A: Lingual mass, Matted
P: Concerned for possible diabetic neuropathy causing hock wounds
BG 110mg/dL rules out DM as cause for hock wounds
Observe gait when awake from sedation
