***SAFE 05/02/17*** FELV POSITIVE Super sweet Tabby girl MEKO needs a loving home to recuperate! Meko is an 8-10 mo old female kitty who came in with a suspected high-rise injury. She has a fracture on her left forelimb (far down on the radius) and a fracture on the left side of the hip (through the hip joint). Both of these will likely heal with medical management. MEKO is AVERAGE rated and is a little purr-bug who loves attention! PLEASE RESERVE HER BY NOON!!

KNOWN HISTORY: Meko was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She tolerated all handling during intake. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – friendly and loveable; very easy to examine EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Meko was lying down with her front arm extended outwards. Reaction when softly spoken to: Meko looks at the assessor with soft eyes and extends her other arm. Reaction to cage door opening: Meko remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Meko sniffs the assessor’s hand and accepts petting. She leans in for cheek rubs, begins to purr, and closes her eyes. Reaction to being picked up: Meko remains calm and allows handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Affectionate BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Meko interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with an average amount of experience.
