Hello, my name is Megumi. My animal id is #7729. I am a female white kitten at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 11 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a data import – incoming on 01-Oct-2017.
Megumi 7729 is at risk for a ringworm infection. Behaviorally, we do not yet have information on her behavior in a home environment, nor have we yet conducted an in-shelter behavior assessment, but overall Megumi has been social and easy to handle in the care center.
Foster commenting on excessive sneezing from kitten after being diagnosed with infectious conjunctivitis on October 4th. As per DVM 1204 dispensed Doxycycline 0.2ml Po for 10 days to foster.

brought in by foster: HX: eating and drinking well, playful. Eyes began weeping yesterday. no cough or sneezing per foster. BAR, hydrated EENT: mild epiphora and conjunctivitis OU, thin serous discharge OU, clear AU, negative oral. H/L: nsf ABD: benign U/G: female intact MSI: nsf A: mild conjunctivitis P: begin tx with erythromycin ophthalmic ointment, continue to monitor. foster has littermate at home whom is asymptomatic at this time. foster to monitor other kitten for signs of conjunctivitis, recommend exam if worried. Temporary surgical waiver until conjunctivitis is cleared up. #1431
HX: was being fostered, returned due to appearance of ringworm type lesions (1-2 days) No other history, doing well per foster, good appetite/attitude. S/O: bar, hydrate EENT: clear au/ou, negative oral PLN: wnl H/L: nsf ABD; benign U/G: female intact MSI: ambulatory x 4, in good flesh, good coat with several regions of dry/crusty alopecia: 1. above eye 2. both front paws 3. aural pinna A: rule out dermatophytosis P: Woods lamp: Strongly positive under woods lamp, no need to run cultures. Begin treatment with itrafungol and lime dips
