Meatloaf was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was vocal upon intake, but allowed all handling. He also tolerated all handling during his initial medical exam and was reported to be friendly and purring during the exam. Reaction to assessor: Meatloaf was meowing and was calm, relaxed, and friendly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Meatloaf comes to the front and sniffs around. Reaction to cage door opening: Meatloaf remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Meatloaf head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. Reaction to pick up: Meatloaf remains soft and nuzzles against the assessor. Placement Determination: Beginner Meatloaf interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
