History : brought in as owner surrender yesterday; delivered one kitten yesterday afternoon that passed away; has not been actively trying to deliver but abdominal rads show another fetus Subjective: BAR Observed Behavior – sweet, allows handling; initially was just resting in cage but then began squatting in litter box Evidence of Cruelty seen – none Evidence of Trauma seen – none Objective BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam:mm pk, tacky; mild tartar/staining PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: one palpable fetus in uterus U/G: pregnant female; mammary glands engorged; small amnt of blood vulvular discharge MSI: ambulatory x 4 with no signs of orthopedic disease dandruff along dorsum CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal:not performed Assessment 1. Pregnant/dystocia Plan gave 0.25 U oxytocin IM if unable to give birth with oxytocin, then will pursue surgery today Prognosis: good SURGERY: Okay for surgery
