This sweet 8 year old had only been with the former owner for a year, then decided to dump this scared, confused guy and left him wondering what he did to deserve this! He needs an EXPERIENCED hand and no kids in the home. Let him decompress and get used to his surroundings and he should be just fine! HE NEEDs ANOTHER HERO… BUT ONE WHO WILL GIVE HIM A FUREVER HOME!!!

05/24/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Max was tense as he watches the assessor from the back of the cage When spoken quietly: Max continues to watch the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Max remains motionless Reaction to touch: Max allows petting but is tense and is noticeably uncomfortable Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Max was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
