Medical Behavior Evaluation ORANGE
Medical Summary 03/28/16 18:31 Scan : negative Sex: Male Approx 6-8mos S/O: QAR. Attempted to flee when removed from carrier, attemped to bite during flee. Sedated w/ 0.05ml Telazol IM. No ocular d/c, ears clean. Severe dental lesions w/ exposed and infected alveolar bone at the level of the left upper and lower premolars. Adjacent buccal and ginigval ulcerations. The remainder of dentition appears WNL. Gallop rhythm and Grade 2/6 heart murmur ausculted while under sedation. Abdominal palpation WNL. Crepitus palpated near coxofemoral joint during ROM movements. FeLV SNAP: Positive Parvo: negative Pelvic radiographs: Feces filled colon, small amount of bone opacity within ingesta feces. Left ilium appears to have old fracture, possible pelvic symphysis fracture – difficult to discern due to overlying colon. Recovered from sedation uneventfully A: FeLV, dental disease, pelvic fractures. P: Administered 0.17ml Convenia SQ, 0.07ml Buprenorphine SR SQ. Will monitor appetite and comfort. daily. Recommend NH plea for placement w/ rescue. PROGNOSIS: Fair – Poor
