*** SAFE 04/15/16 ***MARTA and MARTY(not listed,in Super Urgent folder) were trapped and brought into the ACC. If the eyes are the windows to the soul, then MARTA’S soul is hurting. Hurting from a URI that’s easy to treat with antibiotics, but for now is making her feel rotten. Hurting from being trapped and left in a place that doesn’t care if she lives of dies! Hurting from being branded RESCUE ONLY, just because the 2 year old is sick and scared. She’s FIV positive, which there’s no need for concern… FIV KITTIES can live long lives, along side of NON- FIV cats just fine. She’s already SPAYED and just NEEDS you to contact a NEW HOPE Rescue and offer to FOSTER or ADOPT her. Give her time, love and space, she’s sick and needs to let the antibiotics do there job but needs a home to rest in. Give her a small space if you can,but please, give her a bigger piece of your heart too!

04/13/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Marta looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Marta remains hiding in the cat den, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Marta does not allow the stroke, hisses, and attempts to swat at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Marta is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
