KNOWN HISTORY:
Marquesses was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:

A bit nervous and scared but well behaved
ENRICHMENT NOTES:
06/21/18
Low body posture, hiding inside her litter box at the back of the kennel. Lip licks and shrinks body when spoken to softly. Flinches slightly when touched, but tolerates attention. Needs more time to adjust.
Cage Condition:
Cage is slightly re-arranged
Reaction to assessor:
Marquesses was curled up in her litter box, pressed up against the back wall of the cubby.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Marquesses lifts her head up to make eye contact, but doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Marquesses lip licks remains motionless.
Reaction to touch:
Marquesses looks around the kennel slowly and seems hesitant when the assessor extends his hand out. She sniffs the assessor, closes her eyes and accepts gentle petting along her body. Her body feels tense, but she leans in when rubbed on her head/cheeks.
Reaction to being picked up:
Marquesses was tense when picked up, and curled up in the assessor’s arms.
