03/04/16 17:15 Marlboro is a male orange tabby and white domestic shorthair cat who arrived as a stray surrender. Upon intake Marlboro was receptive to introduction with head butting of the counselors hand. Marlboro was loose and playful for handling and counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) collar and photograph. Marlboro allowed himself to be picked up and enjoyed petting. Marlboro was easily replaced to the carrier.

Marlboro was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was receptive to introduction upon intake and head-butted the counselor’s hand. He was loose and playful with handling and allowed the counselor to pick him up and pet him. He was also friendly and was easy to handle during his initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Marlboro was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Marlboro meows softly and reaches out with his paw. Reaction to cage door opening: Marlboro remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Marlboro head-butts, leans into petting, and begins to purr. He is very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Marlboro remains soft and purrs when held. Placement Determination: Beginner Marlboro interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
