Now his owner is moving where they don’t allow pets and poor MARILYN M is on the list for lethal injection tomorrow at the shelter. Poor guy! He’s sweet as can be! He is described as friendly, affectionate and gentle. He lived with a 7 year old and is great with children! MARILYN M is very photogenic as well as being curious and full of love! MARILYN M head butts a visitor to his cage and enjoys being pet and picked up. This handsome cat can go to a beginner home. MARILYN M would make a wonderful pet! Please save this sweet guy today!!!!

06/21/16 12:40 Marilyn M is an 8 year old DSH. He was bred at home and has been in owners care since; he is being surrendered into our center due to owners moving. There are no known health injuries or concerns. Around strangers he is friendly and gentle when he plays with adults. He lived with a 7 year old and was affectionate and gentle. He has lived with his litter mate Marilyn M (A1078298) and is respectful but can also play very rough. There is no known history with dogs. Behavior is good. There is no known history of him having litter box accidents. He is afraid of getting baths; and isn’t bothered when his nails are trimmed of coat is being brushed. He isn’t bothered when being picked up and held but is afraid of being placed in a carrier. Marilyn M is described as being independent and playful with a high activity level that would do best in a family home. He is very photogenic and easy to train; he loves to sleep and play with his toy balls or catnip. When home he will follow you around or be in his favorite spot. He was mostly indoors and ate both wet and dry food Purina Brand. His favorite treats are Silver of Chicken. He is litter box trained using a hooded box and newspaper; hooded because he will lift up and spray. He would scratch on the rug in the home.

As per previous owner, Marilyn M is friendly and gently when he plays with adults. He lived with a young child and was gentle and affectionate towards him. Marilyn M has never been around dogs but was respectful and played rough with the other cat living in the home. He isn’t bothered when being picked up and held but is afraid of being placed in a carrier. Marilyn M is described as being independent and playful with a high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Marilyn M was reaching out with paws at the front of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Marilyn M meows softly then rubs up against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Marilyn M is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Marilyn M purrs loudly and rubs up for attention. He head butts the assessor and allows petting all over his body. Marilyn M is very affectionate and eager to walk out his kennel and explore his environment. Reaction to being picked up: Marilyn M is calm, relaxed and has a soft body when held. Behavior Determination: Beginner Marilyn M interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
