08/25/17 11:56 Basic Information: Maria is a 2 year old, female white cat with brown tabby spots. The owner has had her since she was a kitten and has never been to the vet but has no known health conditions. The owner cannot keep her due to her new living situations. Socialization: Around strangers Maria is friendly and outgoing. Maria lived with a 9 year old child and was very affectionate and gentle towards her. She is respectful towards other cats in and outside the home. When it comes to dogs Maria is tolerant around them. Behavior: In the car Maria is pretty relaxed and just sleeps. When taking a bath or getting her nails trimmed she isn’t bothered. Maria loves to be brushed and enjoys being picked up. She doesn’t mind the carrier too much. For a New Family to Know: Maria is friendly, affectionate, playful and talkative with a medium activity level. When you’re home Maria will probably sit on your lap. She loves to play with stuffed toys, balls and laser pointers. She sleeps in the hallway and eats both wet food and dry food. She uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. She may also scratch on the wall instead of a scratching post. Behavior During Intake: Maria took some time to walk out of the carrier but eventually did be herself, she allowed me to collar her with a loose body. She nudged against my hand when I let her sniff me and had eyes closed when I scratched her head.

She starts to knead on her blanket and purrs. Reaction to being picked up: Maria remains calm and continues to purr. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Calm BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Maria interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
