06/30/17 17:02 Basic Information Margaret, a two tear old gray tabby cat was brought in by a gentleman from NYC Housing. He stated that Margaret’s owner was evicted from her apartment and that he was ordered by the city marshal (paperwork attached) to surrender her. Margaret has no visible signs of injury or illness. Behavior upon Intake Margaret had a calm body and allowed counselor to pick her up and hold her. She also allowed to be collard, photographed and put in a kennel.

KNOWN HISTORY: Margaret was brought in without information on her behavior in her previous home. She was relaxed during intake and allowed the counselor to conduct all handling. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Subjective: Meowed, crouched on table, relaxed, and allowed all handling EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Margaret was sleeping in her cubby and had her paws covering her face. Reaction when softly spoken to: Margaret does not respond and is fast asleep. Reaction to cage door opening: Margaret continues to sleep and remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Margaret peers out from underneath her paws and blinks softly at the assessor. She repositions herself afterwards and accepts petting, purring throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Margaret remains calm and allows handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Sweet, Affectionate BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Margaret interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
