Oral Exam: adult dentition mm pink
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful,distended
U/G: scrotal testes
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, poor BCS, bony spinal prominences, all four limbs have hypotrichosis, seem to have been environmental trauma, Wood’s lamp neg
no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: not performed
Assessment
poor condition, chronic diarrhea mayhave internal parasites, neglect
Prognosis:
good with response to treatment
Plan:
parvo snap negative
start metronidazole 50mg/ml give 0.5ml PO BID x 10 days
SC fluids LRS 75ml SC EOD for 1 week
SURGERY:
Temporary waiver due to dehydration and underweight
