MANOLITO was said to love being picked up and held. He was soliciting attention and loved every minute of it at the shelter. He’s all set to go into most any household! 09/30/16 11:46 Basic Information: Manolito is an 8 year old male. He was found as a stray one week ago. He has not been to the vet but has no known injuries or health problems. Socialization: Around strangers Manolito is friendly and outgoing. When he played with adults he was gentle. He lived with a 5 year old male domestic long hair and with him he was relaxed and affectionate and gentle at play. Behavior: Manolito has never bitten a person or animal. In car rides he meows. He enjoys being picked up and held. He isn’t bothered if she is placed in a carrier or disturbed while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Manolito is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident and quiet with a low activity level. The two things his finder liked most about him were; he’s gentle and very friendly. When his finder was home he would tend to be in the same room. He was kept indoors only. At night he slept in his previous owner’s bed. He ate dry Friskies. He is litter box trained and used an uncovered litter box and shredded paper litter. Behavior during intake: Manolito allowed me to pet him, collar him and pet him. He was purring and head-butting. He had a hooked tail and relaxed body and showed no signs of aggression.

Manolito’s previous owner reports he is friendly and outgoing around strangers. He was gently when playing with adults. He lived with another male cat and was relaxed and affectionate with this cat, also gentle when playing. He enjoys being picked up and held, and was described as a friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, and quiet cat with a low activity level. Reaction to assessor: Manolito was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Manolito looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes and sniffs in place. Reaction to cage door opening: Manolito remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Manolito arches his body and leans in for rubs. He appears to really appreciate attention; he lifts his rear an constantly rubs against objects in his cage, purring. Reaction to being picked up: Manolito was calm during pick up and remains calm when held. Behavior Determination: Average Manolito interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
