10/10/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/10/16 16:35 Basic information: Mangus is a 15 year old neutered male. His previous owner bought him from craigslist when he was 2 years old. He was surrendered because his previous owner is tired of cleaning his litter box. The last time he went to the vet was 4 years ago. He has no known injuries or health problems. Socialization: Around strangers Mangus is fearful and hides. He no longer plays. He spent time with a large breed dog and was fearful. Behavior: Mangus has not bitten or scratched a person or animal. He struggles and hisses if he is given a bath. He hisses if his nails are trimmed. If his coat is brushed he is tolerant for a little while but then begins to hiss when he wants it to stop. He enjoys being picked up. He struggles when placed in a carrier, however previous owner felt the reason might be because the carrier was too small for him. He isn’t bothered if he is disturbed while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Mangus is described as friendly, affectionate, mellow, confident, independent and quiet with a low activity level. The thing his previous owner liked most about him was that he’s quiet. When his previous owner was home, Mangus would tend to be in his favorite spot. He no longer plays. He was kept indoors only and at night he slept in his cat bed. He ate dry Meow Mix. He is litter box trained and prefers an uncovered litter box and clumping litter. He had a vertical scratching post made of carpet and rough rope that he regularly used. Behavior during intake: Mangus allowed me to pet him, collar him and take his pictures. He head-butted and went in and out of his carrier easily. He showed no signs of aggression.
